Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, born April 26, 1991 often referred to professionally under the other name Ari Lennox, hails from Washington, D.C. and was the first female signing for J. Cole's Dreamville Records label. In the month of October, Ari Lennox released her EP Pho. The EP was where she received recognition. The album that she released as her debut album Shea Butter Baby was released on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox started uploading music to the Internet in 2012 after she dropped her first mixtape Five Finger Discount, and her debut EP Ariography in 2013. The year 2014 saw her release new music through the internet including Bound. In the year 2015, she performed in Omen's Elephant Eyes Album, which came out on the 21st July. released on the 21st of July. J. Cole asked her to work with him on Rihanna's reference. Later in the year, her music was played all over Dreamville. On December 28, 2008 it was revealed that Rihanna had hired by Dreamville Records. The singer appeared on the joint album Revenge of the Dreamers II in the track Backseat featuring Cozz. Her Pho EP was released on her debut EP, on Oct 21 the 21st of October, 2016. Ari Lennox appeared in J. Cole's Change song and opened her own tour, the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017. In 2018, she appeared as a guest performer on two tracks, including EarthGang's Nothing but the Best song as well as Bas's Icarus. Ari Lennox, on the 16th July, 2018, released her first single "Whipped Cream" from Shea Butter Baby. A music video to accompany it was released on September 5th. On the 9th of November the singer released two more singles titled 40 Shades of Choke (and Grampa). In November 2013, she released No One and Pedigree. Shea Butter Baby is a track she sang alongside Cole for Creed II's soundtrack on November 16th. It was then released as a standalone single in February 2019 to coincide with the release of her debut album. A music video debuted on February 20, 2019 in conjunction with the song. Within the first time, it was viewed more than 3 million views. She was one of the support acts for 6LACK during the From East Atlanta With Love Tour in December of 2018.
